—–Instant friends!—-No matter the miles between or the years that have passed you can just pick up where you left off. Conversation and memories just flow through you with ease. Do you have any of these?
I am blessed with many homegrown friends. In fact, I have 40 first cousins (14 are now enjoying time together in heaven) We may not see each other often, but when we do there are instant smiles on our faces. We are friends.
I have friends from childhood and new friends made as years have passed. I treasure them today.—I know I can trust them and they know they can depend on me. This is special. “A friend loveth at all times.” Proverbs 17:17a.
Is it possible that you forget to call God “your friend”? He is the best instant friend you will ever have. He is never very far away. He always remembers you. He smiles when you reach out to Him. He wants what is best for you. He will always listen to your prayers and comfort you.
What a wonderful exclamation it would be to hear these words: “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. and he was called God’s friend.…”
You can be God’s friend. He will never be too far away.
