Good morning from The Garden!

Good memories are to be held close, wrapped around you like a warm blanket. Good memories make you feel loved and cherished. Good memories are those you get to share with the ones you love. Bad memories are to be left behind and put away from today.

In 2017, family and friends sat in the football stands on a Friday night as my grandson Jake broke his high school single season rushing yard record.  We were all proud of this moment.

This record was held for many years by a young athlete named Ben Hutton. He was present to congratulate Jake and take pictures.

He admitted that he took great pride in this record that had been in the books for so many years.

The next morning we read a post from Ben: “To be honest, I never really wanted my record to be broken. But as the moment came, my heart started to change.”

His heart changed.  That is such a powerful thought.  It touched my heart and is now a warm memory.

This is the way all earthly things should be taken.——Temporary —

“But one thing I do; forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. All of us who are mature should take this view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we HAVE ALREADY ATTAINED.” Philippians 3:13-16.

Earthly Records are meant to be broken.  The one we have all received by the Grace of God can never be taken away.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Dian
