Good morning from The Garden!

“For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out……So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me….” Romans 7:18b, 21.

Can you relate to this scripture? I sure can. There always seems to be a very good excuse for my neglecting something that I need to do for others. The habit of procrastination leads to the sin of omission. Many use the expression, “The devil made me do it.” This sounds like a good excuse, but we know that we are responsible for our own actions.

Sin is a powerful enemy, and in the presence of this enemy we are all weak. This is why we can never face sin alone. We need the power and love of Christ in our lives—Jesus Christ who conquered sin once and for all.

Our good intentions will never make a difference in the world around us unless they give birth to honorable action.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
