Good morning from The Garden!

Parents have an amazing influence on their children. From an early age they teach—Example:

Scenerio 1–Together, mother and daughter carefully apply make-up. The young girl asks, “What is this for or can I wear this?” Mom explains and applies a little blush on the soft cheeks of her daughter. Maybe at this time Mom tells her how important it is to be beautiful on the inside or how God looks on the heart–a teaching moment!

Scenerio 2–Or maybe when the young son comes in all puffed up about winning the game, mom or dad talks to him about the importance of being part of a team, but that being a good winner is as important as being a good loser–a godly attitude either way—a teaching moment!

Proverbs 4:3-4: “When I was a boy in my father’s house, still tender, and an only child of my mother, he taught me and said, ‘Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live.’ “

Each moment may be an opportunity to teach God’s wisdom to your child. It is never too soon, and he/she is never too young.

Take the time to share God’s Word with your child every day.

“So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born.” Psalm 78:6.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
