Good morning from The Garden!

Not everyone who claims to be religious is a believer in the One True God and His salvation through Jesus Christ.  Many people know nothing about His love, or grace, or forgiveness through the sacrifice of Christ.

Paul stood up and said:  ‘Men of Athens, I see that in every way you are very religious.  For as I walked around and looked, at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:  TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.  Now what you worship as UNKNOWN I am going to proclaim to you.‘ ”   Acts 17:23.

The people of Athens were just trying to be sure they didn’t leave any god out in their worship time. They did not know God because no one had told them about Him.

I’m reminded of something that a friend shared with us one day in Bible study:

My friend had someone helping transplant flowers at her office.  She walked out to check on his progress.

She noticed that the young man was using the shovel the wrong way.  She was horrified!  “Who doesn’t know how to use a shovel?”  She asked herself.

The answer, of course, is “Someone who has never been shown the way.”

We have a responsibility to others to share God’s love and His plan for everyone.

Remember——-everyone doesn’t know how to use a shovel.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
