Good morning from The Garden!

Solomon had the huge task of building God’s temple. He desired to build the temple with the cedars of Lebanon, the strongest wood available. Because of the difficulty in securing these timbers, he had to organize a labor force.

He drafted three times the number of workers needed for the temple project and then arranged their schedules so they did not have to be away from home for long periods of time.

King Solomon conscripted laborers from all Israel–thirty thousand men. He sent them off to Lebanon in shifts of ten thousand a month, so that they spent one month in Lebanon and two months at HOME.” 1 Kings 5:13-14.

This action showed his concern for the welfare of his workers and the importance he placed on family life.

The strength of a nation is in direct proportion to the strength of its families. Solomon wisely recognized family should be a first priority.

As you organize your own work or arrange the work schedules of your employees, always watch for the impact this schedule has on the families.

Follow the action of the wise one!!

Solomon’s wisdom was greater that the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.” 1 Kings 4:30.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
