Good morning from The Garden!

During the storm the disciples saw Jesus, walking on water toward their boat. They were frightened and were not sure who it was.

“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

And Jesus said, “Come.” Matthew 14:29.

Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. “But when he SAW THE WIND, he was afraid and began to sink—“

Peter had the faith to begin his walk, but he took his eyes off Jesus and saw the wind. He then began to sink.

We may not walk on water, but we do walk through difficult situations.

I’m reminded of the wonderful old hymn:

“Love lifted me, love lifted me,
When nothing else could help—-
-LOVE– LIFTED– ME!”

If we focus on the waves of the situation instead of focusing our eyes on Jesus, we will despair and start to sink.

“Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.” Hebrews 12:2a.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
