I picked up the shiny, deep red apple. I ran cool water over it and looked forward to enjoying the fruit. As soon as I took that first bite, I spit it out into the trash can. Instead of being juicy and sweet, it was dark and mushy. What a disappointment!
As attractive as the apple looked on the outside, the inside ruined the entire fruit.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he—–” Proverbs 23:7.
Many spend time and money to make the outside more attractive, when what really matters is what is in the heart.
