Being a grandmother is a wonderful experience, being great-grand makes it better. To have children to love you as you get older and a little less agile makes you feel that you can do all things.
God knew long ago the effect grandchildren would have on their grandparents. The wisdom found in Proverbs 17:6a states “Children’s children are a crown to the aged.”
I don’t think I exactly feel like the aged, but I think you get the picture.
I have a pillow that has these words onit: “If I knew grandchildren were going to be this much fun, I would have had them first.” LOL
I guess that’s why they call them GRAND—-then GREAT-GRAND, building that blessing with each generation.
If you are too young to appreciate this, or if you do not have grandchildren, spend time today with a child, any child. This time will be your “crown,” and you will certainly feel like a king.
