Good morning from The Garden!

We refer to today as GOOD FRIDAY!  but we often wonder, “What is good about Jesus suffering and dying on the cross.” This act of love was maybe not good for Jesus, but it was good for the world.

“It is finished” John 19:30

He did not say, “I am finished.” He knew He had successfully completed the task for which He had come. He had paid in full the debt for our sins. His earthly life was over.  He had lived and loved and healed and suffered and saved.  God’s redemptive plan was made complete. The grace of God was complete. “It is finished” yet only the beginning.

Jesus chose when He would die. He released Himself into the arms of God. In God’s timing all things are made right.

Each word from the Cross was planned and each word has special meaning to us today.

Let us remember these words as we reflect on the love of Christ in our lives during this Easter season and every day as we fulfill the mission He has for us.

Have a blessed Easter!
In Christian love,
Diane
