Good morning from The Garden!

This is wedding week-end.  My grandson is getting married and he has been best friends with this young lady since pre-school.  It is a special occasion for sure.  Thinking of the wedding reminds me that according to God’s Holy Word, we are the bride of Christ.. Revelation 21:9

Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.” Romans 6:4-5.

United by faith in the Resurrected Christ, we have an unbroken fellowship with God  and other believers and complete freedom from sin’s hold on us.

For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14.

Jesus refers to His relationship to believers as a marriage.  The bride is the church.  He keeps His vows to the believer, and He wants believers to be devoted to Him.  “Till death do us part”—-no, that’s not right.  “Till death do we live forever with Him.”  Now, that’s a lasting commitment.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
