Good morning from The Garden!

The field by my home is clean, plowed, and waiting to be planted.  Soon a new crop will begin.  But something was necessary to insure that the ground is ready.  My son Dave came over and went across the field with a tractor and a “ditcher.”  The purpose of this piece of equipment is to place water furrows to allow excess water to drain and keep the crop from drowning out should there be heavy rains.

Sometimes life brings heavy rain (heartache, sorrow, sickness, broken relationships), and you feel you may be drowning in the burden.  But God provides a way for you to survive the flood, a “ditch” to keep the problem from overpowering you.—PRAYER.

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2.

God does not always stop the rains, but He will find a way to keep you from “drowning out” if you lean on Him and His strength.  “Cast all your cares on Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, make present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:6.

Keep the ditch clean and let the water (storm) flow from your life.  You can then continue to grow in God’s grace and love.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
