Good morning from The Garden!

Everyone uses the expression “He/she has the patience of Job.”  Even those who have never read the Bible and have no idea where this expression comes from may use this saying at times.

Job did not have patience.  He had a solid foundation that endured through tragedy and triumph.  Job had faith.

In the beginning of his story, we find this description of Job:  “This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil...”  Job 1:1.   He had faith.

In the last of the book of Job after he had lost everything, we find these words as he speaks to God:  “I know that you can do all things…….surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know….” Job 42:2,3.

Make sure your foundation is solid and then “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding….”  Proverbs 3:5.

Job trusted in God and his faith gave him the patience to survive the storms..

Have a blessed day!

Diane
