I love the idea of “Pay It Forward.” This action or campaign means simply doing something for someone, (many times a complete stranger) —just because—
“It is possible to give away and become richer…hold on too tightly and lose everything–-” Proverbs 11:24-25. Living Bible
A paradox is something that seems contradictory and yet is truth.
These two verses present a paradox: that we become richer by giving away.
The world says to hold on to our possessions, to take care of #1, to acquire as much as possible, but God blesses those who give freely of their time, possessions, and energy.
When we give, God supplies us with more so we can give even more. Giving helps us to keep the right perspective on our possessions. The more we give, the less dependent we are on material things, and the more we can see all things as gifts from God to be used to help others.
So when you can— remember to “Pay It Forward.”
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
