Anticipation is so exciting! Children wait for Christmas; a couple wait for the wedding day; teachers and students wait for school to be out for summer break—-etc.! Before these events happen, preparation is necessary.
We wait for answered prayers; we wait for the promises that God has given us through His Word; we wait for the Second Coming; we wait—- we wait with eager anticipation of all that He is. But while we wait, we prepare. We love God through Christ Jesus and we love others as He loves us, and our actions show this love. We prepare and we wait.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9.
We cannot imagine how wonderful it will be when we finally see God face to face and receive His final promise—the promise of Eternal Life. The preparation will be worth it; the wait will be over, and the reward will be everlasting.

I want to add something extra about yesterday’s God wink. In the afternoon I listened to the service at my home church. The congregation was singing GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS. God is always amazing.
