Proverbs 22:28 “Don’t move an ancient boundary
stone set up by your ancestors.” (NIV)
The land of Canaan was divided among the tribes of Israel and the boundaries were marked with stones. The people moved the stones a little at a time hoping the move would not matter or would not be noticed. In time, these small moves made a big difference.
God has set up certain “boundary stones” for us too. It seems like each generation of people becomes more and more relaxed with its standards, moving away from God and His standards. What one generation accepts, the next one embraces.
What boundaries has God been cautioning you about lately? Take a stand and hold God’s stones.
