My God is Real, No Matter What I feel…”
The words to the song “What I Know” by Tricia Brock ring out to me this morning, My granddaughter Savannah introduced me to this song, and it instantly became my go- to message for this unsettling time.
It is really a very simple message! You either believe it or you don’t!—— GOD IS REAL.
Peter had an opportunity to test his strength of faith.
Faith that seemed easy as he began, but soon became challenging!
During the storm on the Sea of Galilee when Jesus walked on water toward their boat, Peter said to Jesus, “…tell me to come to you on the water.” (trust)
And Jesus said, “Come.” Matthew 14:29.
Peter had the faith to begin his walk, but briefly took his eyes off Jesus and began to see the waves around him. He then began to sink. “But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ ” (doubt)
We may not walk on water but we do walk through difficult situations. If we focus on the waves of the situation instead of focusing our eyes on Jesus, we will despair and start to sink.
The song continues: “There will never be a day, when You’re not a breath away…You’ll never let me go…….”
“Let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith….” Hebrews 12:2a.
God is real. When our eyes are on Him, and we understand that God will never let us go, our doubt will disappear, and our faith will be strong
Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
