Good morning from The Garden!

In your quiet time today I want you to pick up your Bible (okay, find your Bible if you have to) and hold it close to your heart for about a minute.  Then I want you to think of this verse:

Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I may not sin against God….”  Psalm 119:11.

This is not like hiding something and never finding where you put it.  God tells you exactly where to hide His Word.  When it is in your heart, you are never without it.

Replace the words “that I may not sin against God” with “so no one can ever take them away.”

Our world is changing fast and there are so many unknowns that our nation is facing.  Many of these are completely contrary to God’s Word.

So I say this today.  Memorize God’s Word.  Hold it close to your heart.  Recall the scriptures that give you comfort or peace, the ones that show you the way to salvation, the ones that teach you to forgive.  Remember the commandments that God gives to you.  Remember to use God’s tape measure and not the world’s.  Try each day to say a scripture from memory.  You know more than you realize.  Paraphrase it as you remember it.  Make this a daily challenge.

Hide His Word in your heart and “Seek and ye shall find.….”  (Matthew 7:7), then you will always know God is near.

Have a Blessed Day!
In Christian love,
Diane
