Good morning from The Garden!

Death and life go hand in hand in God’s perfect plan. We embrace life and we accept death as entry into eternal life.

Our Aunt Verne is now reunited with her parents and siblings in heaven and resting totally healed in the arms of Jesus.

We are now left with our memories, and we certainly have a lot of them.  We remember the gold slipper, the magic room that held all things dear to her, her laugh, her acts of kindness, and just plain fun.  She loved to dress up on Sunday and be at church early.

Aunt Verne was a master of “one-liners.”  My favorite one was a short conversation with her and Mom.

Mom: ” LaVerne, you need to go with me to the Health Fair and get your hearing  checked.  You don’t hear half of what I say!”

Aunt Verne:  “Well, Hazel, that’s twice as much as I want to hear.”

I love that one, but there are many more.  These sisters loved to laugh and they made sure others laughed with them.

A sense of humor helps make life pleasant and helps make death easier.

Her life was full, her heart was happy, and her face always showed it.

Her smile with always be remembered.  “A happy heart makes the face cheerful…..”  Proverbs 15:13.

Aunt Verne left a legacy of love to 25 nieces and nephews, 67 great nieces and nephews,139 great, great nieces and nephews, and 66 great, great, great nieces and nephews.

Now that’s something to cherish.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
