Good morning from The Garden!

The birth of Jesus Christ did not just happen.  It was God’s careful plan, His prophecy fulfilled to bring salvation to all.

God used ordinary people throughout history to accomplish His purpose. The genealogy in Matthew 1:1-16 and the genealogy found in Luke 3:23-37 makes this clear.

By ordinary people, I mean sinners—-sinners just like you and me.    “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God….”  Romans 3:23.

Christ was perfection coming down from the Heavenly Father.  But God doesn’t wait for us to be perfect.  He just wants us to come to Him in our imperfections and let Him work through us.

Christmas is not just about the Christ Child, the manger, the stable, or the star.  It is about God’s love through all time, His desire for all of us to be used as messengers to reveal His plan..

Around us today, there is grief, sadness, uncertainty, even fear.  But there is also hope, excitement, love, faith, and assurance.

Blended together we find that God is over us, loving us, holding us, and comforting us through our faith in His Son.

Isaiah reveals eternal prophecies long before the birth of Christ:

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end….”  Isaiah 9:6-7.

Of HIS GOVERNMENT there shall be no end.  Let us remember this always, and allow God to work in us and through us to accomplish His eternal purpose.

Merry Christmas Eve,

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
