Good morning from The Garden!

“Where we are wrong, make us willing to change; and where we are right, make us easy to live with.” (from Peter Marshall’s one-minute prayer)

Every once in a while we all need a self-examination. In this examination we compare ourselves to the perfection of Christ, not to others who, in their imperfection, consider themselves perfect.

We shouldn’t worry about what others accomplish, instead, we must constantly ask how our lives measure up to what God wants.

When we measure ourselves against God’s standards, it becomes obvious that we have no basis for boastful pride.

We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us.” 2 Corinthians 10:13.

Each one of us has a mission in the name of Christ.  In this new year, may we all look toward accomplishing the goals that God has placed before us.  Then we can take pride in what we do through Christ, instead of being prideful of what we think we have done on our own.

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength…..” Philippians 4:13.

Have a blessed New Year!
In Christian love,
Diane
