Good morning from The Garden!

We, as a family, and as a nation have missed the opportunity to get together for two years now.  The separation causes isolation and the isolation has caused mental, emotional, and even spiritual weakness.

I know there is nothing as healing as gathering of family and friends.

My dad loved a good “fish fry.” I have such good memories of Saturday nights at our small camp on Bear Lake when dad and friends would fry fish, and the women would fix the extras and the kids would play.  These were great times.  Well,  I wish he could have been present when we all gathered together friends and family at the farm on Saturday. We ate fish and crawfish and “fixin’s.”

It was wet and cold and muddy, but we had a great time, and most of all, we made good memories.  It was a special occasion for my husband.  He celebrated his 80th birthday—He loved seeing the family and friends and they enjoyed seeing him.

Time passes so quickly and we often forget to just have fun.  Yes, it sometimes requires a little effort—well, ok, a lot of effort, but it is so important to spend time together–to talk, to laugh, to play—–

We all know that joy comes from God, the Father, and can never be taken away from us, but happiness comes and goes throughout our lives.  And for this night we all were happy.

“—-There is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live.” Ecclesiastes 3:12.

Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth….” Proverbs 27:1

Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today…” Hebrews 3:13.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
