Good morning from The Garden!

I know you have heard the expression, “Let your conscience be your guide!” But do you always follow your conscience (God’s voice within) or do you let your conscience follow you?

Billy Graham once quoted: “Most of us follow our conscience as we follow a wheelbarrow. We push it is front of us in the direction we want to go.”

An interesting idea: When you push the wheelbarrow, it is in front of you, but you are in control of where it goes.

A guide is always in front, but a guide leads the way for someone to follow.

In his first letter to Timothy, Paul instructs him on following true teachings and not being side-tracked by false teaching and endless myths that promote controversies. He tells him instead to hold on to his faith which determines a clear conscience.

“The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith…………Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience.” 1 Timothy 1:5,18.

Hold on to your faith and then your conscience (which is the voice of Christ) can truly be your guide, leading you in the right direction.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
