Good morning from The Garden!

I was pulled into the art of texting kicking and screaming. I did not like it; I did not like my children doing it, and I did not like the idea of everything being said through typed letters, instead of verbal communication–no inflection, if you know what I mean.

But communication is what I needed, sooooo I learned to text. Most will not answer their phone, but will always answer the t-e-x-t.

But I text with “haste.”   I don’t pay close enough attention to what I am texting (the ole predicted text) and whom I am texting.

One day my son was working on the computer program at our elevator and had not come in for lunch. I sent a text asking him if he needed me to bring a cheeseburger to him. Just as I sent the text, he drove up to the office. So I did not look at my phone until later.

This is the answer I had received to my text message. “I would love one, but I think I am probably too far away.”

I realized that I had sent the cheeseburger text to my friend who lives about 60 miles away.

It does not matter how many times I text, if I don’t do it properly, then I accomplish nothing. I admit I’m learning something new everyday.

What does this have to do with anything of importance? I think we all jump into our Christian faith without taking the time to study and learn what it is that God truly wants us to do.

Zeal without knowledge is not good, nor is it good to be hasty and lose the way.” Proverbs 19:2.

We have all the excitement and all the zeal, but not the knowledge. So we move forward on our own and miss what God has in store for us.

Let’s pray together that we all gain the wisdom that God provides for us, so we can live our Christian life and walk toward eternity with an assured confidence in His will.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
