Good morning from The Garden!

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a Christian preacher and theologian who was imprisoned for speaking out against Hitler and his Nazi atrocities during WWII. While he was in prison and before he was executed, he wrote many messages to Christians around the world. He died in a concentration camp at the age of 39. His works were published many years later, posthumously. The following is one of his quotes:

“We are silent at the beginning of the day because God should have the first word, and we are silent before going to sleep because the last word also belongs to God.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

When you are silent before God, you are blessed beyond measure.

At the beginning of the day you will find God’s will for your life and find strength to live for Him.

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord my Strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

At the end of the day you will find rest:

Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy-burdened and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.

Begin and end each day with the voice of God ringing in your ears:

Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
