Good morning from The Garden!

“Behold, children are a gift of the Lord.” Psalm 127.3.

Everyone loves to receive a gift. Well, our special gift from the Lord came into our world yesterday and was wrapped and swaddled in beautiful blankets.  She was cared for and loved by her parents, grandparents, and family all around.

I am reminded of that first Christmas night when:  “and she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger...” Quite a different situation than the one we just expreienced.

It was a lonely night for Mary and a troubled night for Joseph who so desperately wanted to take care of them.

But God took care of them as He always does.:”     And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the Highest and on earth peace and good will to all me……”

Suddenly this quiet birth was being celebrated all through the heavens.

We celebrate today during this Christmas season and throughout the year the gift that God gave on that first Christmas night; “….For unto you this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ, the Lord……” Luke 2:11.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift…  2 Corinthians 9;15.

Merry Christmas and have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
