As you reflect on the year 2022, you will see what God has brought you through. Maybe it has been a wondrous year full of blessings beyond your anticipation and maybe it has been a year of trials and difficult decisions. Maybe it has been a year when heart-break has touched your life in ways you could not imagine.
But here you are, about to begin a new year and God is right here at the center of it all.
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
All experiences [circumstances] in our lives may not be God’s will for us because we, by choice, are sometimes out of His will. Our attitude toward Him through each experience brings us closer to Him or pulls us farther away. It will be our choice.
So as this year comes to an end, let us pause and give God thanks for another year to live, to love, to praise, to worship, to have friends, to be a friend——-
Lord, let us not be proud and take the credit when our lives are filled with good, and let us not be distressed and blame You when the trials seem too hard to bear. I pray that we can lean on you in every circumstance and see Your Power through it all. Amen.
