Proverbs 20:24 places the spiritual “therefore”———–“Since the Lord is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that happens along the way.” Living Bible.
I turn on the television set, and a stranger is in my living room talking directly to me and millions of other people and the same time—-in living color. I don’t question how this happens. I just accept that it is possible, turn it on, and watch.
I place a simple piece of paper on the glass of my copier and I dial a phone number. Instantly, another machine hundreds of miles away prints it out, and I have just conducted a business transaction. I don’t know how this happens, but the mystery of the machine does not keep me from appreciating it every day.
The sun comes up every morning and the moon shines at night. I don’t understand this but it happens anyway.
Sometimes life is complicated and we don’t always understand why things work out the way they do. When we have a complete faith and trust in God, He will be with us every day, every step of the way. We don’t have to understand His workings to be totally confident in His love and guidance.
