The Word of God keeps salvation very easy. It is merely get ready, get set, go.
GET READY- Understand that salvation is possible because of what Christ did, not because of what you have done. You cannot save yourself. –“but God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us…..” Romans 5:8.
GET SET- Know that Christ took the first step. Now it is your turn. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be save…….” Romans 10:9
GO- With Jesus in your heart, you are a new person. This is why the Jesus referred to this experience as being “Born again.” So go forth with this new heart, be confident in all things and be anxious for nothing… “I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God through Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:38-39.
In today’s translation, these words cover everything–peer pressure, loss of job, relationship problems, illness–I could go on, but it simply means believe His Word and face each day with courage and confidence in Jesus, knowing that He gives you strength for today, hope for tomorrow, and the assurance of eternal life.
