Good morning from The Garden!

I love going to sleep with the sound of a gentle spring softly flowing.  I just put white noise on my phone and choose this soothing sound.  Suddenly this morning the sound changed and I had water gushing.  I was sleeping soundly, at least, I thought I was, until something changed.  (Just for added info—I had touched my watch and changed the channel so to speak….)  I was now aware of the noise in my ear, and woke up to take action.  I was suddenly listening.

Do you find yourself hearing something but not necessarily listening to it? Listening requires action on your part. (the water gushing) Hearing is a matter of sound being picked up by the auditory senses. (the soft spring flowing.)

God wants us to listen to Him, not just hear His voice.  Listening then requires doing.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and THEY FOLLOW ME.” John 10:27.

We then find the progression:  “I will give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.”  John 10:28.

When we say, “I’m listening, God,”  He will guide the way for us to follow.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
