Good morning from The Garden!

In Matthew 18 22-35 Jesus tells the Parable of a king who wanted to settle the accounts with his servants. One of the servants owed the king a tremendous debt, an impossible debt.(I don’t know how it is possible for a servant to run up a debt of this size, so remember it is a parable; Jesus is making an important point to his disciples and to us.)

When the servant could not pay the debt, he asked for forgiveness of the debt. The king granted this request.

The king cancelled the servant’s debt and let him go.

Even though we do not deserve the grace and forgiveness God has granted us through Jesus Christ, it is ours if only we ask.

Because we are forgiven, we can forgive others.

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” Colossians 3:13.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
