Good morning from The Garden!

 BE IT  UNTO ME

AN ANGEL OF THE Lord came to Mary in the night

And said you’ve been highly favored, my child.

You will bear God’s Holy Light.

Mary knew the word of God

From the prophecies of old.

She knew the mission of the child

That God said she would hold.

The thoughts and doubts must have raced about

As she said “How can this be?”

Of all the women who faithfully serve,

How is it that God would choose me?

The angel calmly told her that her faith was clearly seen.

For “Nothing is impossible” for the God that’s always been.

He created all the earth and the heavenly skies of blue

So He will be with you and faithfully see you through.

Though the questions must have filled her heart

She received the Angel’s words.

Lord, I am yours and I trust in Thee,

“BE IT UNTO ME.”

I think of Mary , young and bold,

Cherishing the things she had been told.

As she pondered in her heart what was to be

She still was able to say “LORD, BE IT UNTO ME.”

When the road I take leads to places yet unknown,

And the choices that I make leave me feeling so alone,

I will fight the doubts and fears that I know are wrong,

And hide His Word in my heart to keep me strong.

I will keep my confidence in Him each day.

And walk the path I cannot always see.

And with a heart filled with love I will say

Lord, I am yours, BE IT UNTO ME.

I know that faith is believing in what I cannot see.

And Mary followed willingly to pave the path for you and me.

I will trust You as I know she did and faithfully agree,

Lord, my life is Yours, I’ll follow You, so BE IT UNTO ME

.

Luke 1:37-38 “For with God nothing is impossible.  And Mary said, ‘Behold the handmaid of the Lord; BE IT UNTO ME according to Thy Word.’  And the angel departed from her.”

And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, for there was no room in the inn……..”  Luke 2:7.

All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophets: ‘The virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Jesus.‘ ”  Matthew 1:22.

Merry Christmas to all of you from The Garden!
In Christian love,
Diane
