Good morning from The Garden!

I am always fascinated when I see people rock climbing.  I have to admit that I don’t get it, but I am impressed with those who do.——–

It is very noticeable that the climber is very careful where he places his feet.  The foothold gives him an opportunity to cling to the rock and go higher toward the intended destination.  If he tries the wrong foothold, it can be disastrous and sometimes even fatal.  But the choice is always the decision of the climber.

“In your anger do not sin; do not let the sun go down while you are still angry; and do not give the devil a foothold.  Ephesians 4:26-32..

When the devil gets a foothold on your life, he can lead you in the wrong direction, and this direction is always away from God.

So how do you keep this from happening?  This powerful scripture continues:

1.  If you are stealing, stop!  Work for what you have.

2.  Do something useful for another.

3.  Speak only what builds up, not tears down.

4.  Do not make the Holy Spirit grieve by the way you treat others.

5.  Get rid of bitterness, rage, and anger.

6.  Then be kind and compassionate.

7.  Forgive as Christ forgives you.

Follow these commandments and you can place your feet firmly in God’s hands.  the foothold that lets you safely climb toward Him every day.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
