Deuteronomy 30:19-20

Good morning from The Garden!

I hava often been told that you never discuss politics or religion when you are in a group.  Maybe that is our problem as a nation.  Maybe we have tried to keep this advice too close to our personal lives.  Maybe we have been silent too long.  There is no way to separate these too topics any more.  They are one.

This election is about one thing and one thing only.  LIFE AND DEATH.  Either we are for life or we are for death.  That is the only issue we have before us.

Many shout hate as a reason for supporting one or the other candidate (or party) in this election year, but the individual is not who we are voting for, nor are we voting on a particular party.

I’ll quote one of the prominent politicians from four years ago. This quote is applicable today.  In this quote Hillary Clinton’s stated this:  “I [my party] will appoint judges to the Supreme Court who will make sure that every woman has the right to choose. I will make sure that abortion is legal so that every woman has a clean, sanitary place to receive an abortion and not in some dark alley somewhere.”— “Champion of Women’s right.” Sounds good. Safe and sanitary—sounds good—-Except for that little girl who is taken from the safety of her mother’s womb and tossed away in the trash can to take her last breath slowly and painfully.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:13-14.

This little girl will never be taught about the powerful and arrogant who may disrespect her or about the strength that comes from self-respect and courage to stand against those who will try to put her down.  This little boy will never grow up to have ambition or to be head of his household or to raise children in the eyes of God  This little girl or little boy will have no rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” They will never live in “One nation under God.”  They will have no right to choose.

We have the opportunity to make a choice:  Will it be LIFE or DEATH?

“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.  Now choose life so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice and hold fast to Him.”
Deuteronomy 30:19-20

May we as a nation choose LIFE.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
