Good morning from The Garden!

I am shocked and heartbroken at the senseless cruel things that some do to others.  The complete disregard for human life is prevalent in our society today.  I read about a group of thugs (gang) who just shot young parents for no reason except that their car was stopped and it seemed easy to do. Now two young babies have no parents.  I mention this because it is so much on my mind.  It is just one example that I’ve seen.  What happened to just loving one another?  Disagreeing maybe, but loving through that disagreement.

We are to love others because God first loved us:

“See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are…..” 1 John 3:1.

The scripture continues to state: “Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous just as He is righteous.” 1 John 3:7.

Loving others is not the same as loving all things of this world. You can love the person and be against the sin in a person’s life.

In loving others, you do not have to agree to all things.

Acceptance into God’s family is a cornerstone for all other relationships. Once you know that you are loved unconditionally, then it is easier for you to love in the same way.

Faith in Jesus is the one condition that brings us into the family of God. “For now we are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.” Galatians 3: 26.

You are His child now, not in some distant future. Live His love now–in the present.

Pray for those who do not know Jesus as their personal Savior that they may somehow be brought into His kingdom of love.  Then and only then can the violence stop.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
