“For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding—-. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.” Proverbs 2:6,11.
God gives us wisdom to honor Him. He does not wish for us to drift through life acting irresponsibly with His gifts and resources.
If we are faithful and keep His purpose in our lives clearly in mind, He will keep us from prideful hearts.
Discretion is the ability to tell right from wrong. It enables the believer to evaluate courses of action and to think about the consequences before acting.
We gain wisdom through a constant process of growing. It is developed by using God’s truth to make wise choices day by day.
Age has nothing to do with the maturity of a Christian. We are all in a growth spurt.
Let us pray that we can take the steps to develop God’s wisdom in our lives as He gives us the ability to know right from wrong and the courage to follow His Word in all that we say and do.
