Do you ever look at a new baby and say, “She looks just like her mother, or he looks just like his dad”?
We are created in God’s image. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created Him; male and female He created them.” Genesis 1:27.
This fact helps us to realize our own worth.
God had no physical body, so how can He say He created man in His own image?
Think about the attributes of God from His own description: “I, Yahweh, am full of compassion, slow to anger, rich in faithfulness and truth, forgiving of rebellion, and wrongdoing—“ Exodus 34:6-7.
Our entire being should reflect the “image” of God. God had all the confidence in the world in our ability to be like Him.
Knowing Him personally helps us to make a valuable difference in our own lives and the lives of those around us.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to hear someone say, “She/he looks just like “The Father“!
