Good morning from The Garden!

The Proverbs express to us how the world would go if life were lived perfectly.

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, and write them on the tablet of your heart.  Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight God and man.”  Proverbs 3:3-4.

The book of Ecclesiastes explains what usually happens in a sinful, imperfect world.

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; But time and chance happens to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11.

Life is not always predictable. Life is not always fair. We live in an imperfect world. But we serve a perfect God.

The passage in Proverbs continues with a familiar verse that we can always commit to memory:  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
