Good morning from The Garden!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5.
I have always loved this scripture, but I usually concentrate on the part that tells me that I don’t always understand things as they happen.

But today I am realizing something very important about this verse: The commitment comes first before God can direct your path.

Everyone is faced with temptations. Adam was tempted; Joseph was tempted; David was tempted; Daniel was tempted; Even Jesus Christ was tempted. And each one of these that faced temptation had the opportunity to resist or to respond (give in). But the decision to resist had to come before the temptation ever presented itself.

Three times a day he[Daniel] got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, JUST AS HE HAD DONE BEFORE.” Daniel 6:10
In everything you do, you must acknowledge Him, then when the temptation comes, you will be listening to His command, and God can give you the courage and ability to make the right decision.

Have a blessed day!
In Christian love,
Diane
